Introduction

Polymath Analysis, Inc. ("Polymath Analysis", "we", "us") provides AI-powered life insurance underwriting software, delivered as a software-as-a-service platform and API (the "Services").

We understand that you care about your personal privacy, and we take that seriously. This Privacy Statement describes Polymath Analysis's policies and practices regarding its collection and use of your personal data, and sets forth your privacy rights. We recognize that information privacy is an ongoing responsibility, so we will update this Privacy Statement from time to time as we adopt new personal data practices or privacy policies.

This Privacy Statement covers personal data that Polymath Analysis collects as a controller: information about visitors to our website, prospective customers, and the business contacts of our customers. Personal data submitted to the Services by or on behalf of our customers ("Service Data") is processed on the customer's instructions under our agreements with that customer, and the customer acts as the data controller. If your personal data has been submitted to the Services by one of our customers, please direct privacy inquiries to that customer; we will support them in responding to your request.

How we collect and use (process) your personal information

Polymath Analysis collects personal information about its website visitors and customers. With a few exceptions, this information is generally limited to:

  • name
  • job title
  • employer name
  • work address
  • work email
  • work phone number

We use this information to provide prospects and customers with the Services and related communications.

We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we share it only with third parties who facilitate the delivery of the Services.

From time to time, Polymath Analysis receives personal information about individuals from third parties. Typically, information collected from third parties includes further details about your employer or industry. We may also collect your personal data from a third-party website, such as LinkedIn.

Use of the polymathanalysis.com website

As is true of most websites, the Polymath Analysis website collects certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, the region or general location where your computer or device is accessing the internet, browser type, operating system, and other usage information about your use of the website, including a history of the pages you view. We use this information to help us design our site to better suit our users' needs. We may also use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer the website, analyze trends, and gather broad demographic information that assists us in identifying visitor preferences.

Polymath Analysis has a legitimate interest in understanding how customers and potential customers use its website. This assists us in providing more relevant products and services and in meeting customer needs.

Cookies and tracking technologies

The Polymath Analysis website uses only strictly necessary cookies: those required for the website to function properly. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics cookies, or other tracking technologies. If we introduce additional cookies in the future, we will update this Privacy Statement and provide a means for you to accept or reject them.

Use of the Polymath Analysis Services

Our customers use the Services to support life insurance underwriting. Service Data submitted to the Services may include personal data about our customers' applicants and policyholders. Polymath Analysis processes Service Data only as needed to provide the Services to the customer, as described in our customer agreements. We may use data that has been de-identified or aggregated, so that it no longer identifies any individual, to improve the Services. For personal data processed through the Services, the customer is the data controller and Polymath Analysis acts as a processor (or service provider) on the customer's behalf.

When and how we share information with third parties

The personal information Polymath Analysis collects from you is stored in one or more databases hosted by third parties located in the United States. Polymath Analysis uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its hosting sub-processor. These third parties do not use or have access to your personal information for any purpose other than cloud storage and retrieval. We do not otherwise reveal your personal data to third parties for their independent use unless: (1) you request or authorize it; (2) the information is provided to comply with the law (for example, to comply with a search warrant, subpoena, or court order), to enforce an agreement we have with you, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of our employees or others; (3) the information is provided to our agents, vendors, or service providers who perform functions on our behalf; (4) to address emergencies or acts of God; or (5) to address disputes or claims, or to respond to persons demonstrating legal authority to act on your behalf. We may also gather aggregated data about our Services and website visitors and disclose the results of such aggregated (but not personally identifiable) information to our partners, service providers, and other third parties.

Transferring personal data to the U.S.

Polymath Analysis has its headquarters in the United States, and information we collect about you will be processed in the United States. By using our website or the Services, you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed in the United States. The United States has not sought nor received a finding of "adequacy" from the European Union under Article 45 of the GDPR. Pursuant to Article 46 of the GDPR, Polymath Analysis provides appropriate safeguards by entering into binding standard data protection clauses, enforceable by data subjects in the EEA and the UK, where applicable.

Depending on the circumstance, Polymath Analysis also collects and transfers personal data to the U.S. with consent; to perform a contract with you; or to fulfill a compelling legitimate interest of Polymath Analysis in a manner that does not outweigh your rights and freedoms. We endeavor to apply suitable safeguards to protect the privacy and security of your personal data and to use it only in a manner consistent with your relationship with Polymath Analysis and the practices described in this Privacy Statement. We also enter into data processing agreements and standard contractual clauses with our vendors whenever feasible and appropriate.

The European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other countries' privacy laws provide certain rights for data subjects. Data Subject rights under the GDPR include the following:

Security of your information

Polymath Analysis maintains a security program that includes technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and regular review of our security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your personal data in a manner consistent with industry standards.

Data storage and retention

Your personal data is stored by Polymath Analysis on the servers of the cloud-based hosting services it engages, located in the United States. Polymath Analysis retains Service Data for the duration of the customer's business relationship with us, and thereafter returns or deletes it in accordance with our customer agreements. We retain prospect data until it no longer has business value, at which point it is purged from our systems. All personal data that Polymath Analysis controls may be deleted upon verified request from Data Subjects or their authorized agents. Children's data

We do not knowingly attempt to solicit or receive information from children.
